We’re almost 10 weeks into the 2017-18 NCAA men’s basketball season, which brings a barrage of inter-conference match-ups. Even team’s with below .500 records typically play up-to-par when competing against local schools.
The Cavaliers of Virginia (19-1, 8-0) have a tough week ahead of them as the current #2 team in the country. Tuesday night they host the #18 Clemson Tigers in Charlottesville, and then visit the former #1 Duke Blue Devils just 4 days later. Another school with a tough schedule this week is the Utah Utes (12-7, 4-4), as they’ll deal with the top-2 programs in the state of Arizona — they’ll head to Tempe on Thursday to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils, then head home to the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Utah to face the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.
