If you have just the slightest bit of interest in college football, November 11th, 2017 might go down as one of the most competitive, action-packed Saturday’s the NCAA has even seen. There are a ton of teams ranked within the top 25 squaring off against each other, including some games with rivalry implications that date back decades.
Take your pick at what the game of the day will be, but I think the early favorite is the next chapter in the whole, Catholics versus Convicts rivalry, where the Fighting Irish (#3) head to Miami to take on the Hurricanes (#7). I can’t put my finger on it, but I feel like these teams had a similar aura about them when they’ve battled each other in the past.
Joe’s Bar on Weed Street has probably run into this issue before, with the number of teams they support and everything, but two of their represented collegiate teams square off at night. Not just two run-of-the-mill teams either; the Oklahoma Sooners (#5) get tested at home against a consistent, quality contender for the National Championship in the TCU Horned Frogs (#6).
