We’re just about halfway through the 2018 season — do we think any team stands a chance against the Alabama Crimson Tide in January? It sure doesn’t look like it. Currently the other teams that would “compete” with the Tide in January are, questionably, the Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes and, of course, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. If Georgia can remain unbeaten (their next 4 games are against opponents currently ranked #21 or better), they would certainly deserve a spot in the final four and could pose a threat to Alabama. Still, the Crimson Tide are rolling opponents week after week.
The Georgia/LSU is the game to watch this weekend, as LSU is coming off their first loss of the season last week to the Florida Gators. For both teams, this game will likely determine their fate at the end of the season. On the West Coast, Washington and Oregon is a classic Pacific-12 Conference match-up, and as such, will likely be a high scoring affair.
