As we near towards the middle of the college football schedule, we’re starting to separate good teams from teams actually capable of winning the playoff championship. Alabama put up 66 points against Ole Miss last week, Clemson easily handled a tough opponent in Virginia Tech, Georgia shut out Tennessee while putting up 41 points, and Penn State continues to dominate their opponents every week.
This weekend’s most competitive match-up might not even happen on Saturday – on Thursday, October 5th, the Louisville Cardinals (#17) head to North Carolina to take on the Wolfpack (#24) in a battle for bragging rights in the ACC Atlantic Division. If that’s not the best match-up of the weekend, make sure to catch the Michigan Bowl between the Spartans and the Wolverines (#7) in Ann Arbor. Michigan State had an early loss to Norte Dame this season, but at 3-1 they’re still a tough match-up for Harbaugh and his team.
